My mom visited over Christmas and I have been missing home since she’s left. I really do hate it here and wish I could go home! But alas, I am stuck and there’s really nothing I can do about it (though Husband has said then when we return to home state for my cousin’s wedding, he may set up some job interviews. We’ll see).

Peanut turned 2 just before Christmas and has turned into a genius. She knows letters, numbers, shapes- I’m amazed at just how much she is learning. Unfortunately, she has also developed an obsession with The Family Guy (quality children’s programming) and yells “Guy! Guy!” every time she sees Peter Griffin. I’m teaching her so well.

We spent our New Year’s Eve playing Trivial Pursuit with my dad with the help of video conferencing. Of course I kicked both my husband’s and my father’s ass and rubbed it in accordingly.

I promise to update more often with some Tales from the Darkside and other stories that have developed from living in this great town.
